Gessica Sakamoto Martini (she/her) is a writer, poet, and editor from Italy. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from Durham University (UK). Her poems and short stories have appeared in several publications, including Gulf Coast, Whale Road Review, HAD, DMQ Review, Verse Daily, Hex Literary, Ballast Journal, Unbroken Journal, Crab Apple Literary, Red Ogre Review, Gone Lawn, FlashFlood (National Flash Fiction Day), Shoreline of Infinity, Seize The Press Magazine, and others.

She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Orion’s Belt magazine, a journal of literary science fiction and fantasy.
